According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employees in computer and information technology careers earn a median pay of $97,430 per year.
Yes, students can transfer credits from their Associate of Science in Computer Science and Associate of Science in Computer Information systems toward bachelor’s degrees. Blinn computer science graduates transfer to Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Commerce, Sam Houston State, the University of Houston, Texas State, and Western Governors University.
Students are strongly encouraged to select a transfer destination by the time they have completed 30 semester credit hours and should consult with their chosen transfer institution regarding recommended courses that will transfer to their bachelor's degree program.
In addition to other transfer opportunities, students can co-enroll or transfer into Texas A&M-Commerce’s Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity at Texas A&M-RELLIS in the heart of Aggieland. Through the CAPS Program, students also can co-enroll or transfer to earn their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Victoria.
