Testing Procedures
Students
- Exam Deadline: This is set by the instructor.
- Identification: A current Blinn ID, driver’s license, or other photo ID is essential for taking an exam unless accompanied by the instructor.
- Exam Timing: Exams should start at least 1.5 hours before closing and 2 hours before closing during finals.
- Preparation: Students should be aware of the course name and number, instructor’s name, and the exam title or number. They must supply their own testing materials such as scantrons, bluebooks, and writing tools.
- Arrival: On the day of the exam, arrive at the front desk with the instructor's name and a valid photo ID. Exams will be administered if the student's name is on the instructor-provided list and the deadline has not passed.
- Computer Reservation: For online exams, reservations can be made through the Computer Reservation System. First-time users need to create a new account, which is distinct from the eCampus account.
- Testing Conduct: All personal items, including bags, books, notes, and cell phones, should be stored in a locker (locks provided). Only items approved by the instructor are permitted during the test. Talking, taking breaks, or leaving the center during the exam is prohibited. Violation of these rules or any attempt at cheating will result in the confiscation of the exam, and the incident will be reported to the instructor.
- Special Accommodations: Appointments are essential for private room use. Students requesting this must have a registered file with the Office of Disability Services.
