Blinn-Brenham Theatre Arts presents 'Children of Eden' Nov. 21-24
Musical production will showcase faculty, students, and local talent

The Blinn College-Brenham Campus Theatre Arts Program will bring the age-old conflict between parents and children to life with its production of “Children of Eden,” running Nov. 21-24 at the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 21-22, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 23-24. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for Blinn students and children. They are available online at www.blinn.edu/boxoffice, by calling 979-830-4024, or by emailing [email protected].
“Based on three stories from the Book of Genesis, this beautiful musical will serve as our 2024 Faculty Showcase,” said Theatre Arts Professor Brad Nies, who is directing the play. “We are proud to showcase Dr. Daniel Johnson, Professor of Voice and Opera, and Jill Stewart, Coordinator of Instrumental Music and Clarinet Instructor. We are also thrilled to be working with members of the Brenham Children’s Chorus, under the direction of (Theatre Arts Instructor) Jennifer Patrick and (Instrumental Music Professor) Jill Stewart, and giving these young people the experience of working in a college production.”
“Children of Eden” will be Blinn’s entry to the 2024 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

- Connor Amelang – Young Abel
Storytellers and ensemble roles will be performed by Joshia Bartlett, Sarah Calarco, Paige Stewart, and Benedite Trecy, with chorus contributions by Delossantos, King, Ace Burns, Ayla Witt, and Michael Silgero.

The Theatre Arts Program’s 2024-25 season theme is “Plays of a Biblical Proportion.”
The remaining shows, also at the O’Donnell Center, are:
- “James and the Giant Peach,” 7 p.m. Feb. 20 and 21, and 2 p.m. Feb. 22 and 23;
- and “God’s Favorite,” 7 p.m. May 1 and 2, and 2 p.m. May 3 and 4.
“James and the Giant Peach” will be Blinn’s Texas Community College Speech and Theatre Association Play Festival entry.
Blinn’s Theatre Arts Program cultivates a quality educational foundation of study, application, and experience through a wide range of performance, technical, and production studies. Its Associate of Arts degree plan integrates artistic, technical, and academic disciplines of theatre from the classroom to the stage.
