Blinn College District honors academic excellence with honor society induction ceremony

70 Blinn students are welcomed to Phi Theta Kappa, Psi Beta, and Sigma Kappa Delta honor societies

The Blinn College District recently celebrated the academic achievements of its outstanding students during an induction ceremony held for members of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), Psi Beta, and Sigma Kappa Delta honor societies on the Bryan and RELLIS campuses.

Phi Theta Kappa, the premier honor society recognizing the academic accomplishments of students at associate degree-granting colleges, welcomed 66 students during this ceremony. To qualify for PTK, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and have completed at least 12 transferable credit hours. With more than 3.8 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 11 countries, PTK is a testament to the academic commitment of students around the world.

In addition to PTK, students were also inducted into Psi Beta, the national honor society for psychology students at two-year colleges, and Sigma Kappa Delta, which honors students who excel in English.
