Texas KB Utilities sees Blinn Clay Shootout sponsorship as part of its commitment to community

Chappell Hill, Texas company is new underwriter of fundraiser to benefit Blinn College

March 7, 2024

While Texas KB Utilities may be a relatively new company, its commitment to community involvement already runs deep.

The Chappell Hill-based company, which specializes in the installation of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems for commercial and residential developments, is the new underwriter for the Clay Shootout next month. Texas KB Utilities was formed in 2020.

The Blinn College Alumni and Friends and Buccaneer Alumni Lettermen associations host the Shootout, which will be held Friday, April 5, at the Boswell Porter 4-H Shotgun Range, 7676 County Road 247 in Burleson County.

“When the alumni associations approached us about becoming the underwriter for the Shootout, we were eager to say yes,” said company President Hunter Krolczyk and Vice President Bubba Krolczyk. “The Shootout is the largest fundraiser benefitting Blinn students and programs, and we’re certainly honored to help in any way we can.”

“We appreciate Texas KB Utilities’ willingness to step up as the underwriter for this year’s Shootout,” said Hannah Schulz, Chair of the Alumni and Friends Board of Directors. “We couldn’t do this without the help of so many volunteers and businesses.”

“We’ve always had strong support for the Shootout from businesses and individuals, and Texas KB Utilities is an example of this strong support,” said Kevin Bosse, Chair of Buccaneer Alumni Lettermen.

Flight sponsors are Brenham National Bank, Blue Bell Creameries, Paragon Financial Advisors, and Bartlett Cocke General Contractors. Paragon and Bartlett Cocke are new flight sponsors this year. Also, Plinkers Guns and Ammo is serving as awards sponsor for the first time.

Event registration and sponsorships are still available. More information is available at www.blinn.edu/alumni/clayshootout.html or by contacting Blinn Foundation Executive Director Susan Myers at [email protected] or 979-830-4344.

Entry fees are $600 for four-person teams and $150 for single shooters who will be assigned to a team. Entry fees include food and drinks throughout the day. Food and drinks will be available for spectators for $20.

Registration will be one hour before shoot time and a safety meeting will be held 30 minutes prior to shoot time. Shooters under age 17 must have hunter safety certification.

Awards will be presented to the top teams and the top male, female, and youth shooters.
